Alewerks Brewing Company
Pours dark with a nice light beige nitro head. Lacing is spots and streamers against the glass.------Light toast and cola notes, but not very prominent.------Taste is ever so slightly bitter on a surprisingly watery body. The bitterness almost seems like it could be from an underutilized lemon-citrus hop. The roasted malts stick their head out in the end, and it takes some warmth to coax them forward.------This reminded me of Guinness units light weight, but missed on the smoother and creamier feel of a nitro Guinness. If the roasted malts played more of a role, I could go higher on this as a light Irish dry stout. It is just a little bland as is, to me.
